desyn property was established by Steve de Nys in August 2009 as a private commercial and industrial property consultancy dedicated to the provision of high quality services to major corporations, developers, private investors and land holders.
Prior to establishing desyn, Steve was a National Director and Queensland Head of Industrial for global property services firm Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL).
Over the 12 years he was at JLL, Steve built up a database of almost 3,000 contacts and negotiated some of the largest industrial transactions recorded in Queensland, including the sale of the 100 hectare former Wacol Army Barracks for $48.1 million and the sale of 2 investment portfolios within Brisbane Technology Park for close to $30 million. He has negotiated transactions for and on behalf of some of Australia's largest corporate citizens and institutions including Stockland, AMP, Australand, Walker Corporation, Linfox, Mack Trucks Australia, Mazda Australia, Coates Hire, Bunnings, Cement Australia, The Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
A specialist in the marketing and sale of large-scale industrial projects and en globo development sites, Steve is a joint author of two major South-East Queensland Industrial Land Supply studies published by the Property Council of Australia (PCA) in 2005 and 2007.
He is Deputy Chair of the PCA's Queensland Industrial Committee and a member of the Industrial Reference Group advising the Queensland Department of Infrastructure and Planning on its Industrial Land Monitoring Program.
